Design Elements

Depending on from where the passersby stand and observe this special booth, one can read the exhbitors brand and text or admire the exquisite vintage look.

Besides colors, light and Visual Merchandise the structures and forms of surfaces play a big part in the external effect of the Point of Sale.

European Visual Marketing & Merchandising Booth

For the association Visual Marketing&Visual Merchandise DFROST has designed a fair booth, which radiates modernity, classicism and coolness at the same time. All black everything; a tribute to the energy crisis, the targeted use of monoblock colors and a long-distance effect that is unparalleled.

The institution »Hochschule Düsseldorf« concepted this years fair booth in a different way; via a »Retail Ball Game«. A combination between conference and play mode – via Artificial Intelligence the balls react to their position and show different surreal images. The balls can be moved interactively by the visitors and create a exceptional highlight.

This example shows the bubbly and yet calm and soft atmosphere the visitors experience while strolling through this holistic space. The composition between the light rosé tone and the usage of round retail fixtures and presenters such as the show tables and clothes rails blend in perfectly.

The trend color lilac combined with light colors and solid textures like marble and stone broadcast a strong effect on viewers.

Sustainability

The most important aspect of retail of the future is the big topic sustainability. The product itself is, however, only one part of the customer journey. The Point of Sale, in particular, must move further towards sustainability too. The usage of recycled and upcycled materials, creating solutions that will relieve the environment instead of strain it even more. This shift is still happening and will further be the vision of the Retails future.

The outlook and feeling of modern Retail Spaces radiate three major topics: minimalism, the usage of wood and natural materials and spacious room and attractive lighting concepts. Light colors that broadcast naturality like white, cream, light brown and moss-green spark an inviting atmosphere.

Mannequins

A piece of art

More than just elements and decoration. But effective storytelling, presenting emotions and products in an appealing and attractive way: Stimulating the imagination. Whether digital, physical or as PopUp, in the store or in the online store. The use of the right colored and positioned mannequins is crucial to showcast fashion products in an attractive way. There are many ways, exciting, aesthetic, thrilling, mystical; how to capture the customer‘s attention. Become a storyteller and increase your sales by offer aesthetic mannequins that tell a story through their outfits.

Hans Boodt is a pioneer in the art of mannequin. Built from special materials, always implementing a special twist betweetn surface, color and general atmosphere. This special showroom is showing that mannequins are art and transport a young spirit and modern approach and mindset. Clothed in doctor coats, painted in their signature purple their appearance is ravishing and holistic.

Retail Spaces are obliged to think about the structures their retail fixtures may have to present the products in the best and attractive possible way. So why not use mannequins and fixtures purely out of grid, creating an industrial design? Combined with round elements the products receive an extra depth.

Vibrant colors staged in an appealing color palette combining unconventional and everyday products. Mannequins embedded in walls, simple but effective.

Structures Surfaces

Forms and structures play a crucial role in any brand design concept. Combining solid materials like metal in form of a grid together with a vibrant color like this royal blue is creating attraction and awakens curiosity.

Another great example of interaction between surfaces, materials and colors. Small tiles generate a feeling of a laboratory setup. But in combination with squared elements in radiant colors like orange and a clever lighting concept; the whole vibe turns and peaks ones interest.

Black, Light & Shine

The world, especially in the retail sector, lives from light and the intelligent use of light sources. No matter how beautiful the product and the staging, the wrong use of light can cause a highlight to fade. Without light, the magic of successful visual merchandise would evaporate in an instant. The key is to use it cleverly to evoke emotions.

Giant holograms decorated many booths and showed that artificial light can enhance any experience. Furthermore light ropes and highlighted letterings are a particular modern way to solve concepts of modern retail.

Incooperating shadows through the right lighting can arouse the viewers fascination and interest. Playing with such a primary source and concepting it through whole Visual Merchandise campaigns really shows the competence of a successful Retail concept.
